Grace for the next step
Grace for the Next Step
2 Corinthians 12:9 — “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
Sometimes God does not show us the entire road ahead. He gives us enough grace for the step directly in front of us.
We often want the complete plan — every answer, every resource, every connection, and every detail settled before we move. But faith does not always work that way.
God may not give you grace today for everything you will face next month. He gives you grace for today.
There may be decisions in front of you that feel bigger than your strength. You may be carrying responsibility in your family, ministry, finances, business, leadership, or personal life that has stretched you beyond what feels comfortable.
That does not mean you are without help.
God’s strength becomes visible when we stop depending entirely on our own strength.
You do not have to know how everything will work out before you obey the next instruction.
Take the next step.
Make the next call.
Have the conversation.
Complete the assignment.
Pray again.
Believe again.
Start again if necessary.
The grace you need may not appear before you move. Sometimes you discover it while you are moving.
Do not allow uncertainty about tomorrow to steal the strength God has provided for today.
God already knows what is ahead, and He will meet you there.
Prayer
Father, thank You for giving me grace for today. When I feel overwhelmed by what is ahead, help me focus on the step You have placed before me. Give me wisdom for every decision, strength for every responsibility, and peace when I cannot see the entire plan. Teach me to depend upon Your strength instead of my own. Lead me clearly, establish my steps, and give me courage to keep moving forward in faith.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Today’s Declaration:
I have grace for today. God will guide my steps, strengthen my hands, and give me everything I need for the assignment in front of me.
