WheN God Shows up

Morning Devotional: Just in Time, Jesus!

When God Shows Up Right on Time

Today's Scripture: John 11:43–44 (KJV)

“And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes.”

### Devotional Reflection

Have you ever been in a situation where you wondered, "Lord, where are You? I need You right now!"

The bills are due. The doctor's report isn't good. The family is struggling. The doors seem closed. You've prayed, you've waited, and you've believed, but nothing appears to be changing.

And just when you think you've run out of time, here comes Jesus!

One thing I've learned about walking with God is that Jesus may not show up according to our schedule, but He is always on time according to His purpose.

Look at Mary and Martha. Their brother Lazarus was sick, and they sent word to Jesus. They knew He had the power to heal him. But instead of coming immediately, Jesus remained where He was for two more days.

By the time Jesus arrived, Lazarus had been dead for four days.

Martha said something many of us have probably thought at one time or another:

"Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died." — John 11:21

In other words, "Jesus, if You had only come sooner!"

But what Martha didn't fully understand was that the same Jesus who had the power to prevent Lazarus from dying also had the power to call him out of the grave!

What appeared to be too late became an opportunity for God to reveal His glory.

And somebody needs to hear that today!

Your situation may look impossible. Your resources may be running low. The opportunity may seem to have passed. You may even feel that what you've been praying for has already died.

But don't mistake God's silence for His absence.

Don't mistake His timing for His unwillingness.

And don't allow the condition of your circumstances to determine the strength of your faith.

Jesus is not limited by what looks final to us!

He can restore what has been lost, renew what has become weak, open doors that have been closed, and breathe life into situations that seem completely hopeless.

Sometimes God allows us to reach the end of our own ability so that we can recognize the greatness of His power.

Think about the children of Israel standing at the Red Sea. Pharaoh's army was behind them, the sea was in front of them, and there seemed to be nowhere to go.

But just in time, God made a way through the waters!

Think about Abraham climbing Mount Moriah with Isaac. At the very moment Abraham needed God's provision, there was a ram caught in the thicket.

Just in time, God provided!

Think about Peter sitting in prison, bound with chains while the church prayed. God sent an angel to deliver him.

Just in time, God opened the prison doors!

And the same God who moved then is still able to move today.

Remember this: God's timing is not always comfortable, but His faithfulness is always dependable.

So keep praying. Keep believing. Keep serving. Keep walking in obedience.

You may not know how God will work things out, but you can trust the One who holds your future.

Because when Jesus steps into a situation, everything can change!

### Today's Encouragement

Stop measuring God's faithfulness by how quickly your circumstances change.

He has not forgotten your prayers. He knows what you need, what you're facing, and what lies ahead.

Your responsibility is to remain faithful while trusting Him with the outcome.

When you think it's over, Jesus can still have the final word!

### Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being the God who is never late according to Your divine purpose.

Lord, there are people today who are waiting for answers, healing, financial provision, family restoration, open doors, and breakthroughs that only You can provide.

Some are tired of waiting. Some are discouraged. Others are standing at the edge of giving up.

Father, strengthen their faith today.

Remind them that Your promises have not expired and that Your power has not diminished.

Where there is sickness, we ask for healing. Where there is lack, we ask for provision. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where families are divided, bring reconciliation and restoration.

And where hope has been lost, breathe new life into weary hearts.

Teach us to trust Your timing even when we cannot understand Your process.

Help us remain faithful, obedient, and steadfast while we wait upon You.

We declare that our confidence is not in circumstances, resources, or human ability, but in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray.

Amen!

Final Thought:

"Jesus doesn't have to arrive when you expect Him to. He only has to speak, and everything can change. What looks like the end may become the beginning of your greatest testimony."

Just in time, Jesus!
