From Decisions to Disciples
From Decisions to Disciples
Matthew 28:19–20 — “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…”
Winning someone to Christ is the beginning, not the finish line. Jesus did not command the Church merely to collect decisions; He commanded us to make disciples.
When someone receives Christ, the Church has a responsibility to help that believer learn the Word, develop a prayer life, understand their identity in Christ, become connected to other believers, and mature spiritually.
The harvest deserves more than celebration. The harvest deserves cultivation.
Supporting Scriptures: Acts 2:41–42; John 8:31–32; Colossians 2:6–7; Ephesians 4:11–13; 2 Timothy 2:2; Hebrews 10:24–25; James 1:22; Luke 9:23.
Prayer: Father, thank You for every person who receives Jesus Christ as Lord. Give Your Church wisdom and compassion to nurture those You bring into the Kingdom. Help us not only preach the Gospel but teach, strengthen, encourage, and disciple believers until they become mature followers of Christ who can disciple others. In Jesus’ name, Amen
