Today’s Devotion — Heaven Rejoices Over One Soul

Today’s Theme: Every Soul Matters

Luke 15:10 — “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.”

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is still changing lives.

Every time someone turns to Christ, heaven rejoices. Every soul matters to God, and every person who receives salvation represents a life being transformed by His grace.

This is at the heart of the Great Commission.

Jesus did not call the Church simply to gather together. He called us to go into the world, preach the Gospel, make disciples, strengthen believers, and carry the message of salvation wherever He opens the door.

Sometimes we may wonder whether our prayers, giving, teaching, encouragement, service, and outreach are really making a difference.

They are.

Someone plants the seed.

Someone waters it.

Someone prays.

Someone serves.

Someone shares the Gospel.

And through it all, God brings the increase.

The work of ministry is rarely accomplished through one person alone. It is the Body of Christ working together in obedience to God. Every believer has a role to play in advancing His Kingdom.

But salvation is only the beginning.

Those who come to Christ need discipleship, biblical teaching, fellowship, encouragement, prayer, and strong spiritual leadership. We are not only called to help people begin a relationship with Jesus; we are called to help them grow into mature followers of Christ.

The Kingdom of God advances one transformed life at a time.

Never underestimate what God can accomplish through your obedience.

You may not always see the immediate results of what you do, but when you remain faithful, God can use your prayers, your words, your generosity, and your service to touch lives far beyond what you can see.

Keep planting.

Keep watering.

Keep serving.

Keep believing.

God is still giving the increase.

Prayer

Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation and for the privilege of being part of Your Kingdom work.

Thank You for every life that is touched through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Continue drawing people to Yourself and opening doors for Your Word to be preached throughout our communities and around the world.

Give us a greater passion for the Great Commission. Help us to remain faithful in prayer, service, giving, teaching, discipleship, and sharing the Gospel.

Strengthen new believers and surround them with mature Christians who will encourage them, teach them, pray for them, and help them grow in their relationship with You.

Help Your Church to work together in unity, remembering that one may plant and another may water, but You alone give the increase.

Use our lives for Your glory and help us never forget that every soul matters to You.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Today’s Encouragement:

Keep planting. Keep praying. Keep going. God is still giving the increase.
