Today’s Theme: Safe in the Presence of God
Psalm 46:1 — “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
There are moments in life when circumstances remind us just how quickly things can change. Plans can shift. News can shake us. People can disappoint us. Situations can arise that we never expected.
But God does not change.
Scripture calls Him our refuge.
A refuge is more than a temporary hiding place. It is a place of protection, security, peace, and strength. When everything around us feels unstable, we can anchor ourselves in the One who remains steady.
God never promised that we would never face trouble. He promised that we would never have to face it alone.
David faced enemies, uncertainty, betrayal, and tremendous pressure, yet he repeatedly returned to the same conclusion: God was his safe place.
That same refuge is available to us today.
When fear tries to control your thoughts, run to God.
When you do not know what decision to make, run to God.
When the responsibility of leadership feels heavy, run to God.
When you are concerned about your family, ministry, finances, health, or future, run to God.
You do not have to carry everything by yourself.
There is strength available in His presence.
Sometimes God changes the situation. Other times, He strengthens us so completely that the situation can no longer control us.
Either way, we are never without help.
Today, remember this truth:
Your security is not found in everything going according to plan. Your security is found in knowing the One who holds your life, your family, your purpose, and your future in His hands.
God is still your refuge.
God is still your strength.
God is still present.
And God is still faithful.

Prayer
Father, thank You for being our refuge, our strength, our protector, and our peace.
Thank You that when circumstances change, You remain the same. When we are uncertain, You are certain. When we feel weak, Your strength is available to us.
Teach us to run to You before we run to fear, worry, frustration, or our own understanding.
Protect our families, strengthen our leaders, guide our ministries, provide for every need, and give us wisdom for every decision before us.
Help us remember that we are never alone. You are with us in every battle, every transition, every responsibility, and every season.
Today we place our confidence in You.
You are our refuge.
You are our strength.
You are our very present help.
