God Is Doing a New Thing

Key Scripture:

Isaiah 43:19 — “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?”

Good morning, family.

Today begins a new month, and with a new beginning comes an important reminder:

God is not limited by what happened yesterday.

You may be entering September carrying unanswered prayers, unfinished goals, disappointments, financial concerns, ministry needs, family matters, or decisions that still do not have clear answers.

But none of those things change who God is.

He is still faithful.

He is still Provider.

He is still Healer.

He is still opening doors.

He is still restoring lives.

And He is still working in places you cannot yet see.

Sometimes we become so focused on what has not happened that we fail to recognize what God has already begun.

Isaiah says:

“Now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?”

Something can be growing before it becomes visible.

A seed is alive beneath the ground before anyone sees the plant.

In the same way, God may already be moving in your circumstances before you see the manifestation.

Don’t Carry Yesterday Into Tomorrow

Paul wrote:

Philippians 3:13–14 — “…forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark…”

You cannot change yesterday.

You can learn from it.

You can receive healing from it.

You can gain wisdom through it.

But you were never meant to live there permanently.

There comes a time when faith says:

“God, I release what was, and I trust You for what is ahead.”

Maybe August did not unfold exactly as you hoped.

September does not have to be a continuation of disappointment.

God can introduce a new relationship.

A new opportunity.

A new idea.

A new level of healing.

A new source of provision.

A new ministry connection.

A new understanding of His Word.

A new beginning can start with one act of obedience.

Eight Scriptures for a New Beginning

Isaiah 43:19 — God declares that He is doing a new thing.

Lamentations 3:22–23 — God’s mercies are new every morning.

Philippians 3:13–14 — Release what is behind and press toward what is ahead.

Jeremiah 29:11 — God’s plans include hope and a future.

Psalm 30:5 — Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

Proverbs 3:5–6 — Trust God and allow Him to direct your path.

Philippians 1:6 — The God who began the good work is faithful to complete it.

Revelation 21:5 — “Behold, I make all things new.”

Practical Application

As you enter this month, ask yourself three questions:

What do I need to release?

Do not keep carrying something God has already told you to surrender.

What do I need to complete?

Some breakthroughs begin when we finally finish the assignment already in our hands.

What is God asking me to believe again?

Perhaps disappointment weakened your expectation.

Ask God to restore your vision.

Do not measure September entirely by what you can see on September 1.

There are conversations that have not happened yet.

Doors that have not opened yet.

People you have not met yet.

Answers you have not received yet.

And opportunities you do not even know exist.

God already sees the entire month.

Your responsibility is to walk with Him one day at a time.

Pray.

Prepare.

Serve.

Obey.

Trust.

And keep moving forward.

Declaration for September

I will not allow yesterday’s disappointment to control tomorrow’s expectation.

I believe God is working even when I cannot see it.

I will trust His timing.

I will obey His direction.

I will remain faithful with what He has placed in my hands.

I will expect healing, growth, wisdom, provision, and divine opportunity according to His will.

This is a new day, a new month, and another opportunity to walk in God’s purpose.

Closing Prayer

Father,

Thank You for bringing us into a new month.

Thank You for keeping us, providing for us, protecting us, correcting us, and carrying us through every season behind us.

Today we place September into Your hands.

Go before us.

Order our steps.

Direct our decisions.

Heal what needs to be healed.

Restore what needs to be restored.

Close the doors that do not belong to our purpose and open the doors that align with Your will.

Strengthen every pastor, leader, church, family, missionary, and Kingdom partner connected with Barber Family Ministries and Faith Without Borders.

Provide for ministries that need resources.

Encourage leaders who have grown weary.

Heal those who are sick.

Comfort those who are grieving.

Restore families.

Strengthen marriages.

Protect our children.

Bring salvation to those who do not know Jesus Christ.

Father, give us fresh vision.

Where disappointment has weakened our faith, restore expectation.

Where fear has caused hesitation, give us courage.

Where we have become distracted, restore focus.

Where we need discipline, strengthen us.

And where You have already given instruction, help us obey.

We thank You for what You have already done.

We thank You for what You are doing right now.

And we praise You in advance for everything You will accomplish according to Your perfect will.

Behold, You are doing a new thing. Help us recognize it, receive it, and faithfully walk in it.
