Today’s Theme: Salvation, Discipleship, and the Great Commission
Matthew 28:19–20 — “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations… teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.”
Salvation is the greatest gift anyone can receive.
Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our sins can be forgiven, our relationship with God can be restored, and we can receive eternal life. Salvation cannot be earned through good works, religious activity, or personal achievement. It is given by grace and received through faith in Jesus Christ.
However, salvation is not the end of our journey. It is the beginning of a new life with Christ.
Jesus did not merely call us to make decisions; He called us to make disciples.
A disciple is someone who continually follows Jesus, learns His Word, obeys His teaching, and becomes more like Him. Discipleship requires commitment. It means surrendering our old ways, renewing our minds, developing spiritual discipline, and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform every area of our lives.
We are not called to receive the Gospel and then keep it to ourselves.
The person who led you to Christ was obedient to the Great Commission. Someone preached, taught, prayed, invited, encouraged, or shared the truth with you. Now we have been given that same responsibility.
We cannot save anyone—only Jesus saves. But we can tell people about the Savior.
Sharing the Gospel is not limited to pastors, evangelists, missionaries, or church leaders. Every believer has a testimony. Every believer has a sphere of influence. Every believer is called to represent Jesus Christ.
Some will preach from pulpits. Others will share Christ through personal conversations, acts of compassion, Bible studies, community outreach, workplace relationships, and faithful examples within their homes.
The method may be different, but the mission remains the same.
The Gospel was never meant to stop with us. We have been saved to follow Jesus, equipped to help others grow, and sent to share His Word with the world.

John 3:16–17 — God sent His Son so that the world might be saved through Him.
Romans 10:9–10 — Salvation comes through believing in the heart and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord.
Ephesians 2:8–10 — We are saved by grace through faith and created in Christ for good works.
Luke 9:23 — A disciple must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Jesus.
John 8:31–32 — Continuing in the Word is evidence of true discipleship.
2 Timothy 2:2 — We are to teach faithful people who will also teach others.
Acts 1:8 — The Holy Spirit gives us power to become witnesses for Christ.
Matthew 28:19–20 — Jesus commands us to go, make disciples, baptize, and teach all nations.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You for loving us, forgiving our sins, and calling us out of darkness into Your marvelous light.
Help us never to treat salvation as the end of our journey. Give us a desire to grow as disciples, study Your Word, obey Your instructions, and become more like Jesus every day.
Forgive us for the times we have remained silent when You gave us an opportunity to share the Gospel. Remove fear, hesitation, and insecurity from our hearts. Fill us with the power and boldness of the Holy Spirit so that we may faithfully represent Christ wherever You send us.
Teach us to disciple others with patience, truth, compassion, and love. Give us wisdom to encourage new believers, strengthen those who are struggling, and prepare faithful people who will teach others.
Open doors for the Gospel in our families, communities, workplaces, churches, and nations. Let our words, conduct, and lives point people toward Jesus Christ.
May we always remember that we have been saved to follow, equipped to serve, and sent to share.
